FRES project in Mali

This project comprises a mini-grid (= interconnection of small, modular generation sources to a ac distribution system) solar power system for the town of Kimpanara, Mali, which provides 500 families and small enterprises with solar electricity.

The project has been executed by FRES, in cooperation with N.V. Nuon (Netherlands) and Yeelen Kura (Mali). It was supported by PSOM, the Programme for Cooperation with Emerging Markets from EVD, the Dutch Agency for International Business and Cooperation.
